Transportation Statistics BTS provides statistical
information regarding all sectors of transportation for the United
States.
Federal Highway Administration On August 10, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Safe, Accountable,
Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). SAFETEA-LU authorizes the Federal surface transportation
programs for highways, highway safety, and transit for the 5-year period 2005-2009. Check it out at:

Federal Transit Administration The
Federal Transit Administration provides federal dollars and
assistance to programs of mass transit and public transportation.
These services can be anything from jitney service to full rail
programs.
Federal Aviation Administration The
FAA is in charge of providing many services and enforcing
regulations on public and private sectors of aviation. They inspect
airport design and maintenance, provide safety information and
regulations and maintaining operational aircraft, and monitor air
traffic.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
A vital source for transportation safety information including new
technology, accident information, and highway construction studies.

TEA-21 FHWA maintains this page for those
interested in the new law signed in June of 98. Check out this site
to see what actually became law. The Bryan-College Station MPO
received planning funds over a six year period while approximately
$25 million (in two separate grants) for rail and $7.5 million for
the widening of State Highway 21 was earmarked for the Planning
Area.
